If you have replaced your car's catalytic converter with a decat then it is quite common for your engine management warning light to light up. This is as a result of the higher than expected flow of exhaust gases passing the lambda sensor, causing the car's ECU to believe that there is an engine-related problem. Simply switching the warning light off will not resolve the problem as, more often than not, it will soon light up again.

A quick and easy solution is to fit a lambda sensor spacer. These screw into your exhaust system in place of the lambda sensor, which is then bolted into the back of the spacer. By moving the lambda sensor away from the increased flow of exhaust gases, the sensor will not detect any changes with the exhaust gas flow and, subsequently, the engine management light should stay unlit.

Due to space being limited underneath most cars, there usually isn't enough room to fit a straight spacer. Our Angled Lambda Sensor Spacers are available in both 90 and 120 degree variants, allowing you to choose the spacer that best suits your car and exhaust configuration.
